A criteria-led guide to UK Global Talent digital technology evidence, mandatory recognition, additional criteria, attribution and document limits.
01
Prove that the work belongs within digital technology.
Technical and business applicants can qualify, but the work should be rooted in a product-led technology company or eligible digital field. Ordinary corporate, outsourcing or consultancy activity may require closer field-fit analysis.
The application should define the product, market and applicant's role before presenting achievements.
02
Reserve evidence for mandatory recognition.
The current public framework requires evidence of recognition as a leader or potential leader and separate evidence across at least two additional criterion areas. The same document cannot simply perform several criterion functions.
Independent recognition, attributable impact and the standing of the source should be visible without relying on inference.
03
Design the maximum ten documents as an argument.
The public guidance permits a maximum of ten evidence documents, separate from the CV and recommendation letters. Each should have one proposition, credible source, clear attribution and measurable consequence.
Screenshots and internally produced metrics should be explained and supported. Repetition can displace stronger evidence without adding weight.

The current public guidance states that the same piece of evidence cannot be used for more than one criterion.
03Does working for a famous company prove recognition?+
No. The evidence should identify the applicant's own role, recognition and impact rather than relying on the employer's reputation.
