Global Talent refusal and endorsement review: identify the error before responding
A refusal is not answered effectively by repeating the application more forcefully. The first task is to identify whether the decision contains a reviewable error or exposes a genuine evidential gap.

How to analyse a refused Global Talent endorsement, the 28-day endorsement-review process and whether review, fresh evidence or another route is appropriate.
01
Protect the review deadline.
Current published guidance requires an endorsement-review request within 28 calendar days of the Home Office refusal email. An endorsement review is directed to alleged error in the endorsement decision.
The endorsement application or review does not by itself extend immigration permission. Any live expiry date requires separate protection.
02
Classify the refusal reason.
Separate misunderstanding of submitted evidence, failure to apply a criterion, attribution concerns, insufficient document quality and a strategy built around the wrong standard. Not every adverse conclusion is an error capable of correction on review.
Create a schedule linking each refusal reason to the criterion, evidence already submitted and alleged error.
03
Choose review, fresh application or another route.
Review may be appropriate where the decision overlooked or misapplied the existing case. A fresh application may be stronger where new evidence or a redesigned architecture is required. Skilled Worker or another route may better protect the actual objective.
Timing, status, cost, UK plans and the risk of repeating the weakness should inform the choice.

Questions
Points that commonly alter the answer.
01How long is the endorsement-review deadline?+
Current published guidance states that the request must be made within 28 calendar days from the Home Office refusal email.
02Can new evidence be submitted in an endorsement review?+
An endorsement review is designed to identify error in the decision on the application made. If the case requires materially new evidence, a fresh application may need consideration.
03Does requesting review extend current immigration permission?+
Applying for endorsement or endorsement review does not itself extend immigration permission. Any expiry date requires urgent separate analysis.
